It was brought to our attention that we should do a "bug" or "sprite" or some call it a banner for journalfest (and artfest too), so Tiphoni designed something that anyone can put on their blog if they want to. went to an all-you-can-eat crawfish feed at Ikea with my parents and tiphoni. Too much fun. They make you wear these silly hats and they play accordian music in swedish costume. It was only $10/person.
Hate to say it but I had about 2-1/2 of these plates of critters.
we went to Tully's in Issaquah this morning for coffee and journaling. I finally finished the last page in my journal. Time to start a new one!

I have been wanting 2 comfy chairs for years. I saw an ad recently for a warehouse sale at our local furniture store, so I went on the last day and found these 2 chairs which I LOVE. I am CRAZY about baby blue and red right now, so I was thrilled. They have scratches and a small rip but because of that, they were super cheap. They were both originally $2800 each but I got them for a tiny fraction of that. 
Been crazy about collecting the paper lanterns lately and tracy finally put them up for me.

Awhile back I bought a Rex Ray calendar and framed all the prints from it. I am CRAZY about Rex Ray. But they sat in our storage because I knew it would take some serious math to figure out how to hang them. Then the other day, we were at Ikea and I found this print of the flowers that combined the two colors of my chairs...which I knew I'd need to tie them together. So a few nights ago Tracy said he was my slave to use as I wished (LOL...no, not THAT kind of slave...although I'm sure he would have done that too!). He hung everything for me and I ABSOLUTELY adore this wall now. It just makes me really happy.
Had a shower for artist friend, Dawn Shepherd last night. I had asked everyone to write out their favorite recipe and decorate it for her. Everyone did some great stuff. 
We had 8 people and had a blast. I didn't want to play stupid shower games, so we drew and painted and laughed. 
Reminds me that I need to make more time for friends. We had a blast!
Tara Ross suggested we do exquisite corpse drawings (where you draw 1/3 of the image without seeing the other parts. We had too much fun.
Found these cute rice bowls at Urban Outfitters ($4 on sale...down from $28!). The platter is from Ikea and way too cute not to buy. I got 2 since tracy and I are always taking our meal out in the woods or on the patio.
Another find (the wooden chandelier) from Urban Outfitters. It was $10, down from $68! I SO love good deals like that. It can make my whole week. Trista crocheted the little critter for me and this is the perfect home for it.
my sweetie bought me some flowers. It was the flowers that turned the water pink!
